Uta Weyand is interested in and deeply committed to teaching. She feels responsible for passing on her knowledge and experience to future generations. She gives master classes and lectures at music colleges and universities in Spain, Italy, Austria, Poland, Lithuania, England, Germany, Cuba, Brazil, the USA, China, Japan and Australia. She gained her first teaching experience as a student lecturer during her postgraduate studies at the University of Music in Freiburg. In Spain, she initially taught at Enseñanza Musical Katarina Gurska. At the age of 29, she was appointed professor of piano at the State Conservatory in Castellón, Spain. Two years later, she became a civil servant and has been teaching at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid since 2002. In 2007, she founded the PIANALE International Piano Academy & Competition in Germany and has since been increasingly committed to supporting the next generation of international piano talents.
