Uta Weyand regularly serves as a jury member at international piano competitions, including the Gina Bachauer and Van Cliburn in the USA, the Hamamatsu  in Japan, the Sydney in Australia, and the José Iturbi and Maria Canals in Spain among many others. She chairs the jury at the PIANALE International Academy & Competition every year and invites internationally renowned colleagues and well-known representatives of concert organisations, the press and radio to join the jury. Based on her experience with various selection processes, Uta Weyand is committed to public jury rules and transparent, anonymous voting. PIANALE cooperates with EMCY (European Music Competition for Youth) and the Alink-Argerich Foundation.
