Uta Weyand gives master classes and lectures in most European countries, as well as in Brazil, Cuba, the USA, Australia, China and Japan. She gives lectures on her ‘method of playing from memory’ and introduces composers such as Xavier Montsalvatge, Gabriel Dupont, Maurice Ohana and Wilhelm Hill, among others, in concert talks. Her master classes show young pianists ways to achieve independence and autonomy. In 2000, she became a professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica in Castellón, Spain. From 2002 to 2009, she taught at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid. In 2007, she founded the PIANALE International Academy & Competition in Germany, linked to the concert series ‘PIANALE Piano Festival’. The festival supports the next generation of international piano talents.
