Uta Weyand’s repertoire doesn’t ignore any epoch from baroque to contemporary music. She confirms very often that her favorite pieces are always the ones she is just playing.

As a daughter of a choir conductor and an organist she grew up with choir music and the organ repertoire. It might be the reason of her very natural dealings with composers like J.S.Bach, J. Haydn, W.A.Mozart, L.v.Beethoven and J. Brahms.

On the other hand her teachers introduced her especially to the music by Chopin and Schumann, Debussy, Ravel and Fauré, but also to Scriabin, Prokofiew and Rachmaninoff between many others. Since having been living for ten years in Spain, Uta Weyand is also a passionate interpreter of all kind of spanish music. She worked close to composers like Michael Braunfels and Xavier Montsalvatge.
